President Trump has brought several deals to the table. Not once have Democrats seemed interested in negotiating in good faith. Republicans have brought solutions to the floor to pay federal workers during the shutdown. Not once have Democrats seemed interested in that, either.
Texas Rep. Dan Crenshaw wants to know if they’re simply using federal workers as pawns. From Daily Caller:
“If [the Democrats’] priority is really federal workers, and that’s a laudable priority for sure, then let’s actually pay them so that they can’t be used as pawns,” Crenshaw said on ‘Fox and Friends’. “If we’re not paying them, then I don’t know what else to say except that Democrats actually want them as leverage and that’s really not right.”
Democrats are constantly talking about the suffering of federal workers, during the shutdown, and how it’s not right. But every deal that gets brought to them is a ‘non-starter’. If they’re so worried about the federal workers then why do they keep voting down deals to pay them during the shutdown? Sure seems like Dan Crenshaw is correct and they’re nothing more than pawns to the Democrats. Is this all a game to them?
