Last week President Trump announced that he aims to keep his administration rocking beyond 2020. His administration even released its re-election slogan “Keep America Great.”
While this is great news for the ordinary Americans like you and me, many Americans weren’t even aware of this great news as many Tweets related to the announcement were censored.
The popular site DRUDGE REPORT had put up tweets alerting its followers about the President’s intention to run for re-election in 2020 and his new campaign slogan.
To the surprise of many, the tweet was blocked by Twitter citing “potentially sensitive content”.
According to Brietbart: “When Twitter users navigate to the page of the Drudge Report with their “sensitive content” filter enabled, they are unable to see the Drudge Report’s full tweet. For new Twitter users, the “sensitive content” filter is enabled automatically and has to manually switched off”.
Censorship has become an extremely hot topic of late in the news as corporations try to rid news streams of “fake news”.
Twitter finds themselves in a very dangerous place as their algorithms -- or worse, rouge liberal employees -- seem to be blocking Tweets about the President.
Citing the President’s slogan does NOT warrant censorship and Twitter will surely face sever backlash over blocking these tweets.
