There is word that the Russia collusion probe, that has been dragging on over a year now, has the possibility of being wrapped up by September.
The probe, that has been widely criticized by many Americans, should have been wrapped up ages ago.
From Fox News:
“Giuliani said he and Mueller spoke about an end date to the investigation approximately two weeks ago. During that conversation, Giuliani told Mueller that any interview of Trump by the special counsel would be contingent on knowing when the probe would wrap up.
“The president has not ruled out sitting down for an interview with Mueller, though Giuliani has repeatedly warned that an in-person questioning would constitute a perjury trap.”
It was also reported that Giuliani wants the probe wrapped up by September 1st, to avoid meddling in the midterm elections.
The probe has routinely over reached the original scope that it was intended. It’s very possible that Muller has been dragging this out knowing he has nothing on Trump but will try and hurt Republicans in the midterm elections.
Giuliani’s other point also raises some questions on why Muller wants to sit down with the President.
The Presidents Legal team will no doubt thoroughly vet any questions Mueller wishes to ask and ensure he won’t be trying to trap the President.
