While the MSM tried at all costs to link President Trump and Russia together and Democrats everywhere were crying collusion, it turns out the Trump administration is taking a hard line against Russia.
Just this past week the administration kicked out many Russians over the alleged attack on the former spy in Britain. Now the administration has called out Russia for the first time ever, for trying to attack and gain access to the US energy infrastructure.
Reported on Reuters:
“The Trump administration on Thursday blamed the Russian government for a campaign of cyber attacks stretching back at least two years that targeted the U.S. power grid, marking the first time the United States has publicly accused Moscow of hacking into American energy infrastructure. The direct condemnation of Moscow represented an escalation in the Trump administration’s attempts to deter Russia’s aggression in cyberspace, after senior U.S. intelligence officials said in recent weeks the Kremlin believes it can launch hacking operations against the West with impunity.”
While no direct actions have come from these cyber-attacks, it would be wise for Russian agents to cease from trying again. The Trump administration is showing that it will pull no punches with any country that is trying to meddle with or cause any harm to the United States.
